I'm salvadorean and raised by a salvi mom who is an excellent cook and I have to say I was very pleased with their food! Their pupusas revueltas are big and nicely stuffed. The best part is they're not greasy AT ALL!! We also had the bistec encebollado and their yucca frita con chicharrón. The bistec was tender and flavorful. It comes with your typical salvi rice, beans, salad and 2 handmade tortillas. My only suggestion is add a couple more pieces of chicharrón to the yucca order because you get plenty of yucca. The salad that comes with the yucca is very good too, I like that they chop radishes in it. We ordered it to go and the staff were very friendly and I appreciated their food suggestions. The restaurant was close to closing for the night so it was a bit empty but the place was clean and nicely remodeled. Overall, we were very happy with the food, the portions and the service. I will definitely go back and try different things on the menu.
The staff were nice but they were busy. Food takes some time but the pupusas and horchata were delicious. It's a little loud with music but I just take my food to go.
Food is really good. My gf feally likes their pupusas. We had their food a couple times and each time the food was great. We had a really good experience here. A small gem .There was a mix up with our food where we waited extra time ..idk maybe they forgot but they fixed it 100% this place really takes care of their customers. Thank you
Absolutely Delicious!I can't believe I just discovered this place! The pupusas are incredible--perfectly stuffed and so flavorful. The homemade salsa is the cherry on top. I'll definitely be back for more! A True Gem!
Every pupusa I've had here has been cooked to perfection. The blend of flavors is just right. I really enjoyed the vibe of the place too--it feels like a little slice of home. I had an amazing experience at this Salvadoran restaurant! The pupusas were incredibly flavorful, with just the right balance of cheese and fillings. Ambiance here is casual, family friendly, they have two TV screens for entertainment. It's not a huge location, but there is sufficient seating for small groups. No outdoor seating and shared parking lot with other businesses in the plaza. Located off a busy intersection of North Hollywood. Typically, this place stays busy, whether people dining in or picking up orders, they do stay busy. Today we dined in, I asked for 2 pupusas revueltas( cheese, bean, chicharrón(pork) and my BF's daughter had the cheese pupusa, my BF had the bistec combo plate. It did take a little while to bring out the food today, but again, they do prepare everything fresh, made to order, so this is expected. My pupusas were delicious, not greasy, enough flour Vs. mixture in each pupusa. The cheese one was huge compared to my two revueltas. The bistec (steak) was cooked and seasoned well, it came with rice and beans and side salad. I enjoyed my food tonight as I left full and satisfied. Definitely recommend this place for Salvadoran plates.
This place is so good! I got to practice my Spanish too. The pupusas taste amazing, and the beef soup I got was so yummy, gotta love Salvadoran rice Service is great! The lady offered me cilantro and onion for my soup and brought everything to us and checked if we are doing good. Clean and well-lit restaurant with clean bathroom lol - and a parking lot!! Big TV displaying some interesting show too.
